Local actor, director and educator Aldo Billingslea has been appointed Lorraine Hansberry Theatre’s interim artistic director, the company announced Thursday, Oct. 26. Billingslea, who most recently directed “Home” for the theater over the summer, will be the company’s third artistic director. A veteran performer, he has worked with companies across the Bay Area, including Cal Shakes, Magic Theatre, ACT, TheatreWorks and Marin Theatre Company, in addition to serving as a professor in Santa Clara University’s Department of Theatre and Dance.
