  • Raiders’ Norton on Bowman: ‘I think he’s going to step in’
By Matt Kawahara - Wednesday Oct 18, 2017

After being signed by the Raiders on Monday, linebacker NaVorro Bowman had three days to get up to speed if he intends to play Thursday night against Kansas City. Defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. isn’t ruling out the possibility. “NaVorro’s a smart man,” Norton said Tuesday. “He’s been around a lot of good ball, a lot of good ballplayers. And I think he’s going to step in. He’s a pro. And he understands that he’s not going to get on the field unless he’s ready to play.” Bowman signed a one-year deal with the Raiders three days after being released by the 49ers. He has yet to practice in full pads as the Raiders prioritize recovery during a short week.
