Every year, SOMArts hosts the Annual Murphy and Cadogan Contemporary Art Awards Exhibition where, for a month, the gallery is turned into a showcase of some of the Bay Area’s rising talent in the field of visual arts. Minnesota-born artist Keith Secola has created an arresting faux marketing display for “Sacred Indian Blood.” In stylishly designed boxes that would make any Silicon Valley startup proud, each has a vile of red — the sacred blood he’s selling.
