The talks were reportedly brief because “it was unclear what role Wade would play with Golden State.” Wade intends to play major minutes on his next team, and that likely wouldn’t be possible with a Warriors club that boasts a backcourt of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. To even sign Wade, Golden State would need to waive or trade someone because it already has 15 players on guaranteed contracts. It hardly matters. Wade, who averaged 18.3 points, 3.8 assists and 4.
