  • What you need to know for Band Together Bay Area
By Mariecar Mendoza - Thursday Nov 9, 2017

Bundle up and get there early — that’s the advice for those heading to AT&T Park on Thursday, Nov. 9, for Band Together Bay Area, the mega concert and fundraiser for those affected by the October wildfires that scorched the North Bay. Programming is set to begin at 5:45 p.m. with a blessing led by the San Francisco Interfaith Council. Oakland-bred R&B crooner Raphael Saadiq will kick off the musical portion of the outdoor concert at 6 p.m., followed by roughly 30- to 40-minute sets by Berkeley punk band Rancid; Oakland rapper G-Eazy; Dave Matthews and guitarist Tim Reynolds; and Dead & Company, in that order. Metallica is scheduled for 9:45 p.m. to close out the concert.
