    The magic of Sonoma Raceway continued for J.R. Todd on Sunday. With artwork of the late Eric Medlen, a longtime friend killed during a test session in 2007, tucked into his race suit, Todd won for the second consecutive year at the 30th annual Sonoma Nationals before close to 30,000 fans. After winning in the Top Fuel division last season, Todd prevailed Sunday in his SealMaster Funny Car to become the first African American to win races in the top two nitro divisions. Todd (4.049 seconds, 323.27 mph) defeated Tim Wilkerson, who had engine problems, in the finals to win for the first time in his first season in Funny Car.
