Saturday’s S.F. Deltas’ North American Soccer League match at Kezar Stadium has been postponed, one of a growing number of athletic events that have been postponed or canceled as teams around the state of Florida kept a very cautious eye Wednesday on powerful and destructive Hurricane Irma as it churned across the Atlantic on a path toward the U.S. The Deltas were to have hosted Miami FC, but Miami’s players opted to be with family as they prepared for the storm. “In any situation like this, our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our players, coaches, staff members, fans, and their families,” said NASL interim commissioner Rishi Sehgal.
