  • Adam Ant brings early ’80s anthems back to US
By Aidin Vaziri - Tuesday Sep 26, 2017

Before his career was sidelined by his personal struggles, Adam Ant stood as one of the biggest British pop icons of the early 1980s. He scored nearly a dozen top-10 hits in the U.K., including early MTV staples “Goody Two Shoes” and “Desperate But Not Serious,” and appeared as an actor in films and television shows including “Slam Dance” and “Northern Exposure.” After nearly 18 years out of the spotlight, Adam — a.k.a. Stuart Goddard — marked his return with the 2013 album “Adam Ant Is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner’s Daughter,” and made a triumphant comeback to the U.S. earlier this year. He now returns with two local dates on his Anthems Tour at Mountain Winery in Saratoga on Thursday, Sept.
