    A fire that claimed the lives of six people and burned more than 51,000 acres in Northern California was fully contained, officials said Saturday. The Atlas Fire, which burned 51,624 acres in Napa and Solano counties, was fully contained Friday night, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. The blaze was part of a group of Northern California wildfires that broke out during a windstorm on Oct. 8, killing at least 42, forcing around 100,000 people to evacuate, and destroying thousands of homes. The Redwood Valley Fire, which killed eight people in Mendocino County and burned an estimated 36,523 acres was 100 percent contained on Thursday.
