The night’s theme is “Myths and Monsters,” and coincides with the opening of the museum’s latest exhibition, “Jewish Folktales Retold: Artists as Maggid” (hence the after-hours theme). The show includes newly commissioned pieces by 16 artists, all responding to tales from Jewish folklore from Howard Schwartz’s anthology “Leaves From the Garden of Eden: One Hundred Classic Jewish Tales.” The book, published in 2009, draws stories from a number of countries over many centuries.
