Louise Linton, the actress wife of U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin who has come under fire this week for her “Let them eat cake”-like online tirade over her designer-tagged Instagram photo, is no stranger to Marie Antoinette moments. One of the Scottish-born actress’ very first Hollywood roles was in a 2007 episode of “CSI: NY” in which she played a French tutor who meets an untimely end at a charity costume party where she dresses as — you guessed it — Marie Antoinette. Her character, Simone DeLille, is led to a decidedly not-fake guillotine by her teenage student — played by Shailene Woodley, the future star of the “Divergent” movie series and an Emmy nominee this year for HBO’s “Big Little Lies.

- Raiders rookie Eddie Vanderdoes plays with a mean streak
By Ron Kroichick - Friday Sep 15, 2017
There was nothing sly or subtle about Raiders defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes’ signature moment in his NFL debut. Vanderdoes, lined up between Tennessee guard Josh Kline and All-Pro tackle Jack Conklin late in the second quarter Sunday, jumped off the line and led with his left hand. For lack of a more delicate description, Vanderdoes then knocked Conklin on his ass. Conklin stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 308 pounds, so this is no idle achievement. He lay sprawled on the ground, grasping at air while Vanderdoes hopped over him in pursuit of quarterback Marcus Mariota (who threw an incomplete pass on the play). Video of this emphatic takedown quickly went viral, as Vanderdoes discovered.
