  • Serra blanks Riordan 45-0
By Mitch Stephens - Sunday Sep 24, 2017

The last time Serra played at City College of San Francisco, it was something of a nightmare for the Padres. On Saturday, the sixth-ranked Padres (2-2, 1-0) turned that around with a 45-0 West Catholic Athletic League victory over Riordan. Patrick Nunn scored on an 18-yard quarterback keeper and hauled in a 53-yard touchdown pass from Luke Bottari. Isiah Kendrick scored on runs of 2 and 40 yards. Bottari connected on a 25-yard TD pass to Andres Atkins and Davis Vakalahi scored on a 44-yard run. All of that occurred in the first half, and the Padres cruised past the Crusaders (1-3, 0-1), who defeated Serra 66-45 at CCSF in 2015.

By Mitch Stephens - Sunday Oct 8, 2017

Nobody could remember the last time Bellarmine lost four games in a row, and Austin Ajiake made sure that it didn’t happen now. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound senior running back and linebacker did it all during a tough 21-14 West Catholic Athletic League win over Riordan at City College of San Francisco on Saturday. Ajiake rushed 29 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns as the Bells (3-3, 1-2), riding a three-game skid, hung on after taking a 21-0 lead late in the third quarter. Bellarmine‘s third touchdown was a 34-yard run by Tyson Garcia. But Marcus Williams responded for Riordan with a 69-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
