There’s good-demented, and then there’s bad-demented. Here’s the good-demented. You’re inside a dome — incidentally, one very much like the Epcot Center, except it’s plated in gold, with spiky gold stalactites plunging down from its rafters. From this cave’s floor, multiple gold towers like the Empire State Building stretch skyward, bedecked on every tier with strings of gold beads and other treasures. Tap dancers seem to wear a patina of rhinestones as a second skin. On top of all this, miniature fireworks explode.

Warner Bros., Alcon and Sony have canceled the red carpet at Tuesday night’s “Blade Runner 2049” world premiere in light of the deadly shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday.“In light of the tragic events of last night, Warner Bros. Pictures, Sony Pictures and Alcon Entertainment are cancelling the red carpet for tomorrow’s screening of “Blade Runner 2049.” We join the rest of the country in sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this tragedy,” a spokesperson for Warner Bros. said in a statement.The premiere will take place Tuesday night without a red carpet at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
