By Jenna Lyons - Tuesday Sep 5, 2017
A silver Mercedes crashed into a Tesla dealership on Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco Monday afternoon, shattering windows at the facilities, officials said. City workers were called to the Tesla building at about 2:15 p.m. in response to the crash, according to workers on site. The driver of the Mercedes apparently tried to change lanes, hit the curb then panicked and hit the gas, said Robbie Donohoe, a worker for the city’s Metropolitan Transit Agency. The driver reportedly hit a tree, a mailbox, a Muni sign and a traffic control box before running into the dealership. One person was injured, said Brent Andrew, a spokesman for San Francisco General Hospital.
