  • Jessica Chastain Brings Poker Princess Molly Bloom Into Sharp Focus at Toronto
    By Sharon Waxman, provided by
    - Saturday Sep 9, 2017

There was once a real-life princess of poker who organized high stakes games in plush private spaces for movie stars, Wall Street honchos and tech billionaires and got nailed by the feds for her trouble. That’s the story of Molly Bloom, told in richly verbal detail (including plenty of voiceover ) in “Molly’s Game” in the signature style of our generation’s premiere dialogue-driven storyteller, Aaron Sorkin. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday night.Jessica Chastain takes on the role of Bloom with gusto, imbuing our unlikely heroine with equal parts sex appeal, opportunism and business smarts.

  • Suite Spot: Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa
By Jeanne Cooper - Friday Oct 13, 2017

Amid terrible destruction in the Caribbean and the Gulf Coast wrought by this year’s barrage of hurricanes are stories of creation, too. In Jamaica, an island that has been relatively unaffected, the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa officially opened its doors Sept. 27. Previously a condo complex known as the Palmyra Resort & Spa, the Jamaican-owned, all-inclusive beachfront resort has added a tower of 88 suites, plus elegant polish to a former emerald in the rough. Setting: On a protected private cove, with turquoise water, white sand and views of the lush green hills above Montego Bay.

  • This nail tutorial might just be the grossest ever
By Chloe Bryan - Wednesday Nov 1, 2017

Natasha Lee, the nail artist who blessed us with fidget spinner nail art, has returned with a decidedly grosser creation: pimple nails.

And yes, Dr. Pimple Popper fans — they even involve a "popping" special effect, which Lee creates by layering products over a glob of hand cream to fashion a squeezable, pimple-esque bump. In the tutorial, Lee uses banana hand cream, which somehow makes the whole thing 10 times more disgusting.

Want to try? Make sure you're committed to oozy nails first. Lee estimates that the tutorial will take around 40-50 minutes.  Read more...
