Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has accepted an invitation to speak on the UC Berkeley campus later this month, event organizers said Tuesday. Berkeley Free Speech Week, a campus event co-hosted by the conservative student organization Berkeley Patriot and Milo Inc., will be held from Sept. 24 through Sept. 27, said Angela Trostle, a spokeswoman for Milo Inc. The media outfit is affiliated with right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, whose speech at UC Berkeley in February was canceled when a protest against his appearance turned violent.
