  • ‘Game of Thrones': Everyone Arya Stark Has Killed So Far (Photos)

Popular character's kill count skyrockets in Season 7 premiereFor the last six seasons, she’s been driven by revenge, even keeping a list of people she means to make suffer for what they’ve done to House Stark. Not long after escaping the Twins and the massacre of the Red Wedding, Arya and the Hound happen across four Frey soldiers.Traveling with the Hound, Arya happens across a handful of Lannister soldiers in an inn.In the same fight at the Inn at the Crossroads, Arya takes the chance to reclaim her sword, Needle, from the man who stole it.When Arya and the Hound were attacked by Rorge later, she stabbed him in the gut with Needle.Ser Meryn is the guy who killed Arya’s sword instructor, Syrio Forel, back in King’s Landing in Season 1.When he arrives in Braavos, she gets her revenge by borrowing a face from the House of Black and White and pretending to be a brothel girl.Arya refuses to murder the actress Lady Crane for the Faceless Men, so Jaqen sends the nameless girl known as the Waif to kill Arya. The Waif nearly succeeds, chasing Arya all through Braavos, before Arya leads her into a dark room and dispatches her off-screen with Needle.

    Monday Jul 10, 2017

THERESA, N.Y. (AP) — A U.S. Army soldier is accused of shooting and killing a New York State Police trooper who was responding to a domestic dispute."Trooper Davis served as a member of the New York State Police for four years and his death is yet another sad reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face each day in order to protect our communities and serve the residents of this great state," the Democratic governor said while urging New Yorkers to keep Davis' family, friends and colleagues in their thoughts and prayers.

  • ‘Game of Thrones’ Recap: Jon Assembles Westeros’ Magnificent Seven in ‘Eastwatch’
    By Phil Hornshaw, provided by
    - Monday Aug 14, 2017

[...] as the episode title suggests, the various characters are finally headed back to the Wall to start dealing with the White Walker threat. What happened to Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) at the end of “The Spoils of War?” They did, in fact, avoid getting toasted by dragon fire. The episode starts with Bronn dragging Jaime out of the river a ways away from where the battle took place.Jaime notes that he needs to tell Cersei what happened with the dragons, because if Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) were to unleash them, there’s no way they can win the war.Bronn agrees, and notes, “Dragons are where our partnership ends.”[...] again, we don’t fully believe his cynicism since he keeps sticking his neck out for people other than himself (see below.)Back at the battlefield, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) surveys the destruction, and it’s pretty horrifying, particularly as a sad version of “The Rains of Castamere” plays, mashed up with “Blood of My Blood,” AKA Daenerys leitmotif.Daenerys tells the captured Lannisters that she’s going to make the world better, and if they bend the knee, they can help — but if they don’t they’ll die.Randyll gets on a kick about how he supports a queen who was born in Westeros, where Tyrion has backed a foreign invader whose Hand murdered his father.Tyrion suggests they send Randyll to the Wall to join the Night’s Watch, but Randyll refuses, saying Daenerys isn’t his queen and thus can’t make him take the black.Tyrion counsels against executing them, especially Dickon, who he says they could toss in prison for a few months to get him to wise up, and noting that it’s not great to annihilate great houses.Tyrion is visibly shaken — Targaryens burning people alive is not a great look.Having seen Dothraki and dragons in action, he’s reached a logical conclusion about the war:[...] Read: 17 Best Fight Scenes From ‘Game of Thrones’ (Photos)Cersei notes that maybe Tyrion will intercede on their behalf, as way of apology for killing their father, Tywin (Charles Dance), and their son Joffrey (Jack Gleeson).“It would be my honor,” Daenerys answers, and showing her faith in him, hugs him — a huge show of trust, since greyscale is passed by touch.Fans will remember that that’s the castle Jon sent Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) and the rest of the Free Folk to guard.[...] at Citadel (HQ of the maesters), the raven has arrived and the maesters are discussing Bran’s message while Samwell Tarly (John Bradley-West) works nearby.Archmaester Marwyn (Jim Broadbent) says he’ll send a raven to Winterfell for clarification, but the maesters still don’t really buy the warning from the North.“I put my trust in you, a stranger, because I knew it was the best chance for my people, for all our people,” Jon says.[...] I’m asking you to trust in a stranger.Because it’s our best chance.Arya’s not happy that the lords insulted Jon, but Sansa knows she needs to play politics and keep the lords happy. He says he’s been getting ready for something and didn’t know what it was, but he wasn’t planning on making swords for the people who killed his father, King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy).Back at Dragonstone, Davos brings Gendry to meet Jon Snow, warning him to keep his identity a secret.[...] she sees Maester Wolkan (Richard Rycroft) bring a document that once belonged to Maester Luwin.[...] we get to Eastwatch, with Jon meeting Tormund with the rest of his crew. The gate in the Wall opens, and the party of some of the best killers in “Game of Thrones” is ready to go try to capture a wight from the Army of the Dead.
