Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer joined forces for the first time to win the doubles in the new Laver Cup on Saturday in Prague. They defeated Sam Querrey and Jack Sock 6-4, 1-6, 10-5 in the team event between Europe and the rest of the world. “It was unbelievable,” Nadal said. Europe needs two victories from Sunday’s four matches to win. NFL: The Detroit Lions confirmed they signed head coach Jim Caldwell to a multiyear deal months ago. Caldwell has a 29-21 record in Detroit over three-plus season. He is 0-2 in the playoffs with a franchise that has won only one playoff game in six decades.
