By Sophie Haigney - Monday Nov 6, 2017

A police raid on residence in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco led to the arrest of one man and the seizure of about 70 pounds of methamphetamine, two pounds of heroin and more than $46,000 in cash, officials said Monday. Narcotics officers served a search warrant on a home near 25th and Sanchez streets on Nov. 1. They arrested Alejandro Alvarez, a 44-year-old San Francisco resident. Alvarez has been charged with possession of narcotics, intent to sell, and maintaining a place for the purpose of selling narcotics. Officer Robert Rueca of the San Francisco Police Department said that officers had made contact with Alvarez earlier in the day and found narcotics on him.
