  • Eight pedestrians in SF injured after driver runs red light
By Lizzie Johnson - Wednesday Aug 30, 2017

A red-light runner in Westwood Park caused injuries Wednesday morning to eight people and some property damage, San Francisco police said. The crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. when a woman driving her vehicle ran a red light at near Ocean and Miramar avenues and hit at least one car, a parking meter and a tree, police spokeswoman Giselle Linnane said. Eight pedestrians — including two or three minors — were injured. Six people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while two declined medical attention, Linnane said. Muni reported slowdowns in the aftermath of the collision.
