  • Edgar Wright trilogy with beers at Balboa Theatre
    By G. Allen Johnson - Wednesday Jul 5, 2017

British director Edgar Wright has upped his game with another terrific genre spoof, “Baby Driver,” so this is the right time to revisit the director’s so-called Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy over a few beers the next three Saturday nights beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at Balboa Theatre.(He also calls them hidden relationship films, but whatever.) The trilogy title refers to Cornetto ice cream, sold in Europe, which features in each film. The Balboa’s Saturday night “Beer Movie” costs $10 — already a bargain — but the admission price includes a can of Lagunitas 12th of Never Ale.
