    The San Pablo woman was released from John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek Sunday night after receiving treatment for her injuries, according to Officer Brandon Correia, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.The crash occurred about 10:55 p.m. Friday when an Infiniti sedan driven by Lemuel Sirvonn Wilson Jr. veered off a Highway 4 ramp in Concord slammed into a Dodge Durango, according to the CHP.The injured mother, whose name was not released, and her children were returning home from a drive-in movie, officials said.At 12:35 a.m. Sunday, CHP took a suspect, Lemuel Sirvonn Wilson Jr., into custody on suspicion of hit-and-run causing great bodily injury, driving with a suspended or revoked license and two counts of vehicular homicide.Wilson was book on suspicion of vehicular homicide, driving on a suspended or revoked license and fleeing the scene of a crash that caused great bodily injury.

  • Nine hospitalized in crash near Brentwood

    Nine people — including a 72-year-old woman and a 1-year-old child — were hospitalized after a stolen car crashed head-on into a van while driving the wrong way on Highway 4 in Brentwood, the California Highway Patrol said.The car passed multiple other vehicles and finally crashed into a westbound 2015 Honda Odyssey van carrying seven people at Sand Creek Road, the CHP said.A 22-year-old passenger riding in the Accord sustained major injuries and was taken to Eden Hospital in Dublin but has since stabilized, CHP reported.The driver of the Accord, 24-year-old Rafael Duarte of Oakley, received treatment for minor injuries at John Muir Walnut Creek, then was booked into Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of felony drunken driving, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving without a license, driving without insurance, and driving the wrong way on the highway, causing injury.
