  • Alec Baldwin isn't done roasting Donald Trump on 'SNL' quite yet
By Laura Prudom - Monday Jun 26, 2017

Hold on to your bronzer, folks — Alec Baldwin has confirmed that he'll be reprising his POTUS-baiting impersonation of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live next season.

"Yeah, we're going to fit that in. I think people have enjoyed it," Baldwin told CNN, before noting that his busy schedule will limit his SNL appearances in the fall, prompting him to liken his upcoming guest spots to "a couple celery sticks" rather than a "whole meal."

One person who hasn't enjoyed the impression is Trump himself; the president has taken to Twitter several times to decry the sketch show's portrayal of him, saying that Baldwin's performance "stinks."  Read more...

  • If you squint your eyes a little, Ryan Gosling kind of looks like a young Alec Baldwin
By Samantha Scelzo - Thursday Jun 22, 2017

There's a reason why Cher and her friends from Clueless called cute boys "Baldwins" — young Alec Baldwin was super handsome.

If this reference flies way above your head, just think of it as the '80s equivalent of calling someone a Hemsworth, or a Timberlake, or even a Gosling.

    Wait a second...Gosling...

  • Alec Baldwin to star in NBC’s live production of ‘A Few Good Men’
By Nicole Gallucci - Tuesday Jul 18, 2017

Is there anything Alec Baldwin can't do?

The actor who recently received two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations for his SNL impressions of President Trump will be starring in NBC’s 2018 live production of A Few Good Men, Variety reports.

According to the publication, Baldwin will take on the role of Col. Nathan Jessep, the character that Jack Nicholson portrayed in the 1992 feature film — starring Tom Cruise and Demi Moore — which Aaron Sorkin adapted from his Broadway play.

“Alec Baldwin is the gift that keeps on giving at NBC, and we’re excited to have him starring in Aaron Sorkin’s towering work as we expand our live theater imprint beyond musicals," Chairman of NBC Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt, told Variety. Read more...

  • Two strangers hit it off after weird iMessage glitch brings them together
By Samantha Scelzo - Wednesday Jul 5, 2017

Let's face it — making new friends isn't easy.

So, when the opportunity to meet a new pal arises from an unusual and random situation, seize it because that person could soon become your new BFF.

A common iMessage glitch united Twitter user Cassidy and a stranger in an interesting exchange about an allergic reaction Cassidy was trying to tell her mom about. However, although she thought she was texting her concerns to her mom, Cassidy's messages somehow made it into this stranger's inbox and, well, confusion ensued.

Cassidy posted the first conversation with her new bud on Twitter. Things didn't start out so well.  Read more...

  • Trump is getting crushed at his own handshake game
By Tony Lee - Friday Jul 7, 2017

Donald Trump has been employing his “yank and pull” technique to assert dominance over his guests. But now, political leaders are fighting back. Recently, Poland's first lady added her own spin to the handshake controversy. When she met Trump and FLOTUS, she bypassed the president and shook Melania's hand first, leaving Trump hanging until she eventually shook his hand, too. Other world leaders are coming prepped as well. Read more...

  • This creepy technology can read your emotions as you walk down the street
By Gianluca Mezzofiore - Friday Jul 28, 2017

Facial recognition is so last week.

If this Russian tech company has its way, emotion-reading recognition is the cool kid on the block right now. With serious consequences for everyone's privacy and personal data.

NTechLab ignited a controversy last year after it released FindFace, an app that can track everyone on VKontakte, the Russian equivalent of Twitter, based on their profile.

Someone used the app to identify and harass sex workers and porn actresses through their personal profiles, though the firm said that they weren't breaking any privacy regulations. Read more...
