    A new prep worker is on the job at Palo Alto’s Calafia Cafe & Market A Go-Go. Made by food startup Chowbotics, Sally (pictured Monday with CEO Deepak Sekar) is a robot that takes less than a minute to mix a salad from 21 different ingredients. There are five programmed recipes, such as the Silicon Valley Salad with chicken breast, kale, bell peppers, olives and a honey-mustard vinaigrette. The robot, which Sekar says is the first of its kind, isn’t cheap — $30,000 to buy, $500 to $700 per month to lease — but has a strong food-tech lineage: Chowbotics’ executive chef is Calafia owner Charlie Ayers, former executive chef at Google. — Benny Evangelista
