  • Daniel Radcliffe ventures into a forbidding forest in the 'Jungle' trailer
By Angie Han - Wednesday Jun 14, 2017

Welcome to the jungle, Daniel Radcliffe.

Directed by Greg Mclean (Wolf Creek), Jungle stars Radcliffe as real-life adventurer Yossi Ghinsberg. In 1981, Ghinsberg traveled into uncharted territory in the Amazon forest and wound up stranded there for three weeks.

The film is based on Ghinsberg's 2005 memoir, so no points for guessing if he survives. This is one of those movies that's all about the journey, and Ghinsberg's trip looks like a particularly harrowing one.

In the trailer alone, Radcliffe's Ghinsberg encounters shady characters, dangerous currents, and terrifying wild animals, and dangerous currents. Voldemort himself would be impressed at the level of torment visited upon the former Harry Potter. Read more...

  • 7 of the most hard-to-reach Snapchat geofilters around the world
By Rachel Thompson - Friday Jun 23, 2017

Putting a snazzy geofilter on your Snapchats is something many of us don't think twice about. But, have you ever swiped right in some of the world's most far-flung and hard-to-reach places?

Even in remote spots like waterfalls, caves and forests, there are snazzy geofilters for you to spruce up your travel snaps.

Never mind the 'pics or it didn't happen' rule. The new rule is: geofilter or you weren't there. Here are seven of the most remote geofilters around the world:

    Jozani Forest, Zanzibar, Tanzania

This geofilter appears in a forest in the only national park in Zanzibar, on an island off the coast of Tanzania, Africa. The forest also happens to be home to the Zanzibar red colubus monkey — a species that only exists on that island. While you're snapping monkeys, be sure to search for the forest's geofilter.  Read more...
