  • Mark Cuban made his top NBA draft pick delete some 'stupid' old tweets
By Sam Laird - Monday Jul 10, 2017

Dallas Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr., picked ninth overall by Mark Cuban's club last month, has all the makings of a future star.

But first, Cuban had an important message for the new Mav: Delete those "stupid" old tweets.

Cuban divulged this tidbit in an interview with ESPN during an NBA Summer League game. Here's what he said, via ForTheWin

What sort of old tweets, you ask? Well, here's one that made the rounds on draft day. It's from 2012, when Smith was a high school sophomore.

  • NASA engineer invents nicest car horn ever
By Molly Sequin - Friday Jun 16, 2017

Road trips are fun. You're just singing in the car with your friends, Carpool Karaoke-style, and then you hear that awful noise: a blaring horn.

Former NASA engineer and current YouTuber Mark Rober has apparently been in our shoes and decided to take matters into his own hands. Welcome to the world, nicest car horn ever

"The standard horn is very one-dimensional and doesn't give other drivers context as to why you're honking at them," Rober said in his DIY horn video.

He hopes his horns will change that, letting other drivers understand your intentions by the sound of your horn — whether that's to look away from your smartphone and get going or to move out of the way to avoid an accident. Read more...

  • Car horns are weirdly aggressive, so this guy made a friendlier version
By Johnny Lieu - Wednesday Jun 14, 2017

Driving can already be stressful enough, and it's not helped by the plethora of aggressive-sounding horns standard in most cars.

Fortunately, YouTuber Mark Rober has come up with the "nicest car horn ever," a higher-pitched honk that toots twice quickly.

It's for situations where you want to show courtesy, like if a driver forgets something on their roof, or you want a car to move forward in the drive-thru.

But for more pressing situations, there's a horn that bellows like an ocean liner — perfect when you want to warn some pesky kids off the road. Car makers, it's not a bad idea. Read more...
