“It is in the best interest of the long-term success of 500 for Dave to step down completely from all GP entities and the firm overall,” co-founder Christine Tai said in a letter that went to limited partners of the firm and was posted Monday by TechCrunch.McClure was removed from an executive role in the company a few months ago due to “inappropriate interactions with women in the tech community,” Tai said in a statement last week that followed a New York Times report on sexual harassment by Silicon Valley venture capitalists — including McClure.Kelsey Cullen, the director of public relations at 500 Startups, also confirmed McClure's resignation.
