Someday I'll really write about the pain and relief of letting Lamby go off and really be Lamby, biting and peeing in his own mouth and all.Susan & Karen will never be my first loves, but they are fuzzy and hilarious stuffing for the hole Lamby left and we cherish them deeply ??#lamby #thefirstcutisthedeepest #foreverlamb PS If you have a similar situation, please know its possible to responsibly re-home your rescue rather than sending them back into the shelter system.Read original story Lena Dunham Fires Back at Animal Shelter Over Dog-Abuse Claim: ‘Misunderstanding the Truth’ At TheWrap

- Congrats to this clever mama raccoon who broke into a car to give birth
By Chloe Bryan - Saturday Jul 15, 2017
No one wants their car broken into, but sometimes you gotta give credit where credit is due.
Consider, for example, this mother raccoon, who climbed through a plastic window cover and tumbled into the backseat of a parked convertible at an auto shop so she could safely give birth to her kits.
She was later relocated by Devon of Wildlife, Inc. Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Manatee, Florida.
"I captured the mother, then 2 caring employees and I searched the entire car for her babies," Devon wrote in a Facebook post. "Once they were both accounted for, I relocated them to some woods where she can continue to raise them." Read more...More about Raccoons, Culture, and Animals
- Baby elephant rescued from drowning in brave act of team elephant heroism
By Mia Johnson - Tuesday Jun 20, 2017
Here's a moment you rarely see in real life: Two animals working in tandem to rescue another like it's the climax of a Disney movie.
At the Grand Park Zoo in Seoul, South Korea, two elephants were seen on CCTV rushing to rescue a baby elephant who'd fallen into a pool. In the video, the little elephant was standing near the water's edge when it lost balance and fell into the pool.
With a little bit of teamwork, the elephants pushed the baby out of the water until it was safe.Watercooler, Elephants, Culture, Web Culture, and Animals
