  • Martha Stewart sets the record straight on Millennial Pink
By Tricia Gilbride - Tuesday Jun 20, 2017

At a crafting and cocktail party with Martha Stewart, the conversation will shift between a condemnation of Lil Yachty's dietary habits (not proper for a businessman) to Fourth of July decor (she recommends painting paper lanterns red, white, and blue).

"What bothers me about Lil Yachty, he might be cute and all that, but he eats pizza and candy. That's all," she told reporters over pink drinks at an event in Manhattan celebrating her new line of paints and brushes with Michael's. It's tough love, though. Martha also gave a glowing summary of his many talents.

The woman of the hour wore a stylish off-the-shoulder floral top to lead craft tutorials. She didn't get a speck of paint on despite opting not to wear an apron. The same cannot be said for this reporter.  Read more...

  • Satirical Banksy-style mural shows Donald Trump as evolutionary misstep
By Gianluca Mezzofiore - Thursday Jun 22, 2017

With Brexit and the election of Donald Trump, street artists in Britain are having a blast.

The most popular of them all, mysterious master Banksy, made the headlines with a cheeky Brexit mural while another one, Pegasus, created a painting comparing Trump to Hitler.

Now it's the turn of Loretto, a south-London graffiti artist who previously painted an image of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn dressed up as the Italian monk St Francis of Assisi.

Loretto put his signature on a mural unveiled on Great Marlborough Street, in the uber central Soho area, showing Donald Trump in a fragment of the famous "March of Progress" illustration. Read more...

  • Rich guy Leo DiCaprio surrenders priceless art in wake of embezzlement scandal
By Samantha Scelzo - Monday Jun 19, 2017

Leonardo DiCaprio may have received some very expensive paintings in a super shady way.

According to artnet, DiCaprio, a known art collector, is reportedly in the process of surrendering a $3.2 million Pablo Picasso painting and a $9 million Jean-Michel Basquiat collage to U.S. authorities in the wake of a huge embezzlement scandal.

Red Granite — the company that produced DiCaprio's movie The Wolf of Wall Street — was co-founded by Riza Aziz, the stepson of Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak, and reportedly received illicit financing from the 1Malaysia Development Berhad fund (also known as 1MDB fund). The fund was initially created for the purposes of economic development, but now allegedly has a hand in less noble dealings. Read more...
