In April 2015, a federal judge sentenced the father and son former executives of the inaccurately named Quality Egg — the company behind a salmonella outbreak that sickened around 60,000 people — to three months in prison, but neither of the two men have begun to serve their sentence, hoping the U.S. Supreme Court would see things their way. But …

- Not quite ‘Bold’ enough, but still beautiful

The strategy has resulted in shows such as “The Fosters” and “Pretty Little Liars” that appeal to a younger adult demographic, because if they don’t precisely see their own lives reflected in characters and story, they at least see shows that reflect lives and values to which they aspire.“The Bold Type,” premiering on Tuesday, July 11, works very hard to be thoroughly modern as it follows three talented, beautiful and ambitious young women as they navigate the high-octane world of magazine publishing and the sometimes even more complex world of contemporary relationships. The series was created by Sarah Watson and inspired by the life and career of Joanna Coles, the chief content officer of Hearst Corp. Coles serves as one of the executive producers of the show and is the former editor of Cosmopolitan. The first four episodes deftly flit back and forth among the three main characters, with the magazine’s editor, Jacqueline Carlyle (Melora Hardin), proving herself both a determined visionary and a maternally understanding counselor for her younger staff. The show deals with such issues as the female orgasm, same-sex attraction, a younger woman having a secret affair with an older male executive, yoni eggs for vaginal exercise, sex positions, pornography for women, Internet trolling and many other real-life issues.[...] Disney never seems to stray too far from fairy tale princesses. The cast also includes Dan Jeannotte who writes a sex and relationships column for rival Pinstripe magazine, Sam Page as the unfortunately named Richard Hunter, a member of the Scarlet board of directors, and Nikohi Boosheri as Adena, a Muslim lesbian photographer.
