As summer winds down, there are still plenty of opportunities to catch theater in the great outdoors. But one that wraps up this weekend is Silicon Valley Shakespeare’s repertory season. Founded in 1999 (and formerly known as Shady Shakespeare Theatre Company), the troupe stages two shows each summer at the amphitheater at Sanborn County Park in Saratoga, which is densely lined with redwoods. Angie Higgins directs an all-female “Hamlet,” with Anne Yumi Kobori as the brooding prince charged with avenging the murder of his father by his uncle Claudius (in a fiendish twist, Doll Piccotto plays both of those roles).
