The 18-year-old woman was walking on the Sister Cities Park Trail about 6:15 p.m. Monday when she was approached from behind by a man in his 20s riding a Razor scooter, police said.The man slapped her on the back side, pulled on her sweater sleeve, then rode away on Mayfair Avenue near Cherry Avenue, according to the Daly City Police Department.The man, who is wanted for misdemeanor sexual battery, is described as about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds, and was wearing a black Red Bull hat, black tank top and maroon pants.

Several Santa Cruz beaches will be closed until Saturday after a large shark chomped down on a kayak near shore Tuesday, city officials said. The shark attack was reported after 11 a.m. near West Cliff Drive and Pelton Avenue, said Scott Collins, a deputy city manager. The kayaker wasn’t hurt, but his boat sustained “excessive damage,” Collins said in a statement.
