A man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Friday was identified Saturday as an 18-year-old Hayward resident, authorities said. Isaac Andino was out jogging when he was struck just after 1 p.m. by a train chugging along Union Pacific railroad tracks near Winton Avenue and Amador Street in Hayward. Hayward police and fire officials responded to the scene of the crash.
